Now you can complete the knowledge development portion of the PADI Open Water Diver course online with PADI eLearning.
It’s a great match for your active lifestyle or if you live outside the Canberra region. We know how busy life can be, and finding valuable time to complete a full PADI Open water course has just got easier.
Completing all your on-line development means it only takes 3 days to complete a PADI Open Water scuba course with Indepth Scuba.
Once you have completed the on-line portion of the course in your own time, you only need to complete the pool and ocean training components of the course to fully qualify as a PADI Open Water diver.
Dive Schedule:
• Monday night - Introduction/Orientation night, Dive medicals are also conducted on this night, 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Weekend #1 at Indepth Scuba
Sunday - Pool Skills, 9:30am to 4pm
Weekend #2 down the Coast
• Friday Night accommodation check in between 7pm & 11pm
• Saturday - Open Water shore dives 1 to 3, 8am - 5pm
• Sunday - Open Water boat dive 4,
Inclusions:

Accommodation:
Your accommodation is included in the course, at no extra cost. We have our very own dive lodge located at Catalina, Batemans Bay, just 4kms from town. It is capable of sleeping up to 20 divers comfortably, with a large kitchen and 3 bathrooms, lockable gear storage, washing facilities and a great outdoor area.
Pre Requisites:
Indepth Scuba, PADI and Australian Standard’s Association require that before you start your scuba diving course you must fulfil certain pre requisites.
These include:
• A Dive Medical examination to Australian Standard 4005.1-1992, • Minimum age is 12 years, no maximum age. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult over the age of 18. • Must be able to complete a 200 metre swim & be able to tread water (float) for 10mins. These pre-requisites are designed to ensure that you are able to complete the course safely and confidently. Our instructors are only too happy to help you complete any details to ensure your smooth progression through the above pre requisites. Dr J.Howe is our diving medical practitioner, and will conduct your dive medical here at the dive shop for you on the first night of your open water course.
Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. For example: heart disease, asthma, epilepsy or diabetes. If you are unsure of a particular medical condition, please check with us prior to reservation. Australian medical standards are different to those overseas. A medical obtained in another country will most likely NOT be valid in Australia.
Please Note: In the interests of safety we recommend that you should not fly within 24 hours after your last dive. All prices are in Australian Dollars.
Booking Procedure:
We strongly advise you to pre-book your course as availability may be limited. You can pre-book and confirm your place on a course by contacting us with your credit card details for a deposit, or via email or just pop in and see us at the shop. A $100 deposit is required to confirm your placement.
Cancellation:
If through no fault of Indepth Scuba you decide to quit the course before the completion we will give you a pro rata refund where you pay only for the instructor’s time and consumables (log book, text books, booking fees, photographs and administration costs). If you fail your dive medical, we will refund your course costs, conditions apply.
